Videotape Editor/Broadcast Promotions Producer KTEH-TV, San Jose
Starting as a tape operator for ITV, became video editor and Associate Producer for Kids Clubhouse and nationally-broadcast, Emmy-winning Real Science! . As Broadcast Promotions Producer, responsible for writing and producing on-air promotional pieces for stations programming and special events. Also serves as director for studio productions and live broadcasts. Working in conjunction with engineering department, assisted in the construction of stations U-Matic SP and D3 edit suites, performed operator training in 3/4" suite and created all of the systems documentation. Temporarily assigned to the Engineering department, assisted in many technical aspects of the facilitys recent move.

Master Control Operator/Distance Learning Support Technician, San Jose State Univ. San Jose
Responsible for supervising staff of student assistants and handling various administrative duties for campus-wide, cable TV distribution system. Operate and support four-camera distance learning classrooms in cooperation with Continuing Education department. Both positions involve significant skill in communicating with and serving a culturally and linguistically diverse student body and faculty.

ITFS Master Control Operator/Teleconference Director, Santa Clara County Office of Education, San Jose
Responsible for operation of countys two-channel microwave ITFS network, establishing satellite down-links and airing a full schedule of instructional videos for county school systems. Also operated and maintained 4-camera production/teleconference studio, bringing the facility into an era of regular teleconference production.

Post-production Supervisor/Producer, Media West, Inc., Santa Clara, CA.
Primarily responsible for scheduling, maintenance and equipment planning for studio and edit suites. Assisted in design and construction of a new 3/4" to 1" on-line edit suite and 8-track audio sweetening system. Produced, directed and/or edited numerous high-tech related projects involving video, audio and slide-tape presentations with budgets up to $30,000. Regular field and studio production roles include technical director, editor, camera, and audio production, editing and mixing of stereo video and multi-image sound-tracks. Position involved extensive contact with staff producers as well as outside clients. Clients included Adobe Systems (director/editor for Adobe Illustrator training tape), Northern Telecom, Smithkline Industries, Fuller-OBrian, McDonnel-Douglas, NASA, Diasonics, Epyx Software.

Produced in-house staff training material as well as managing and maintaining hospital AV equipment.

Provide system-level programming support for in-house data-based applications. Served as system manager for cluster of VMS-based VAX 750 mini-computers. Also developed user and system-documentation methodologies that were ultimately accepted as shop-wide standard.

Responsible for creation and maintenance of management information system reports associated with insurance claims. Worked with in-house personnel and client companies to develop and customize reports using DPL and COBOL. Involved with several cross-platform data-conversion projects along with regular programming duties.

Programmer/Operations Manager, Mediametrics, Inc., Moraga, CA.
Starting with this media-oriented information service as a data-entry operator, advanced to supervise staff of up to 20 data-entry operators as well as developing in-house and client software applications and documentation. Received training in the NOMAD database language and operation and administration of companys NCSS 3200 mainframe.
